Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verifier/Project Manager

Cameron-Cole has one of the leading national consulting practices in sustainability, social responsibility and climate change/ greenhouse gas (GHG) management.  This position will support our GHG management group.  Cameron-Cole is an approved technical assistance provider and third-party verifier to the California Climate Action Registry (CCAR).

Cameron-Cole, LLC is a California Air Resources Board (ARB) accredited verification body for all sectors including General Stationary Combustion, Petroleum Refineries, Cement Plants and Power Entities.  Cameron Cole is also in the process of obtaining accreditation as a validation/verification body from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).  This accreditation will allow Cameron-Cole to be verifiers for The Climate Registry (TCR).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include performing GHG emissions inventory verifications for the ARB Mandatory GHG reporting rule, CCAR, and TCR.  Other responsibilities include GHG inventory development, sustainability reporting, climate action planning and life cycle analyses. Must be able to support business development activities including generating new leads, responding to client requests and proposal preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related field, master’s degree preferred
  • 2 to 5 years experience with greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting
  • Verification experience with the CCAR, TCR or other GHG program
  • Verifier accreditation from the ARB a big plus
  • Advanced knowledge of carbon programs, protocols and regulations including: CCAR; TCR WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol; WCI; ISO 14064; RGGI; ARB and EPA mandatory GHG reporting rules
  • Excellent oral and written skills required 
  • Excellent project management skills required. Able to multitask; and manage budgets and schedules 
  • Proficient with Office 2007
  • Advanced experience using Excel spreadsheets
