Manager, East Coast Sustainability Services

Cameron-Cole has one of the leading national consulting practices in sustainability services. Over the past ten years, we have been assisting public and private sector clients in the U.S. and abroad to develop and implement sustainable strategies and practices up and down their value chain. At Cameron-Cole, the Manager of East Coast Sustainability Services is responsible for leading and oversight of operations in the New York office. In addition, s/he is a leader who brings a perspective to the work based on direct experience and a deep understanding of international best practice, and can provide vision and creativity to keep the Company’s sustainability services on the leading edge.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Report directly to the Executive Partner of the Company.
  • Oversee and direct New York office staff, project workload and provide technical direction.
  • Work with other Company personnel to identify strategic market opportunities and implement business expansion activities that build on Cameron-Cole’s substantial portfolio of sustainability work in both the public and private sectors in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Prepare and provide presentations to prospective clients; lead, direct, and supervise proposal development, utilizing technical and support personnel within New York and from across the Company.
  • Manage key client relationships, provide principal-level review on sustainability–related projects as needed, and ensure the highest possible quality for all services provided.
  • Direct, expand and deepen Cameron-Cole’s internal sustainability program, focusing on key areas of our footprint, managing the reduction of those impacts, and report on program status.

Qualifications:

  • Possess principal-level expertise in a variety of technical areas pertaining to sustainability service offerings, including but not limited to: footprint assessment and materiality analysis; sustainability strategy; action planning; stakeholder engagement; governance structures and management systems; performance structure development, measurement and reporting; and communication strategy, planning and execution.
  • M.S., M.A., MPP, or master’s degree in a related field.
  • 15 years of relevant experience, with 8-10 of those years conducting sustainability-related work.
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship or valid green card required.
  • Position will require travel to fulfill job responsibilities.
