Cameron-Cole is experienced in helping our clients obtain 401 state certification permits and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ 404 nationwide permits and exemptions.   We assist our clients implement permit conditions, remain in compliance with the permit, and we provide assistance in filing required public notices and permit certifications applicable to their construction needs.  The permitting process also includes maintaining verbal and written communication with regulatory agencies (state and federal) regarding permit applications and requests for additional information.  Our clients include land developers, residential landowners, commercial and industrial businesses. 

Our experienced staff can:

  • Help prepare 401 and 404 permit applications
  • Prepare plan view and cross-sectional drawings depicting the existing and proposed grades of proposed developments
  • Calculate areas and volumes of wetlands impact for proposed developments
  • Write avoidance, minimization and mitigation summaries for proposed developments in wetlands
  • Submit dredge and fill permit applications to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

At Cameron-Cole, we are very aware of the importance and fragility of our nation’s wetlands; therefore, our avoidance and minimization plans and mitigation plans will:

  • Outline different potential locations of the proposed development
  • Show why the proposed development on the property is a feasible alternative
  • Show how the impacts to wetlands are minimized to the greatest extent practicable
  • Outline how to compensate for impacts to wetlands, so that no net loss of wetlands occurs
