Cameron-Cole has been approved by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and California Climate Action Registry (the California Registry) as both an independent certifier of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and technical assistance provider for California Registry members. The California Registry was established by California statute as a nonprofit voluntary program for registering greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted in California and nationwide. The purpose of the Registry is to help companies and organizations establish GHG emissions baselines against which any future GHG emission reduction requirements may be applied. The California Registry encourages voluntary actions to increase energy efficiency and decrease GHG emissions. "As California is a bellwether for environmental programs and greenhouse gas management in particular, we are quite pleased to receive this approval," said Connie Sasala, Senior Vice President for Strategic Services at Cameron-Cole. She also noted, "These services fit well with our long-standing greenhouse gas management practice, and we look forward to assisting California Registry members who are committed to voluntarily addressing their carbon footprint through this program." |
