Recognizing Our 2025 Successes

For Cameron-Cole, 2025 was a year of diving into climate regulations, expansion, and accreditation. Our mission is to create positive impact and value, and 2025 offered a plethora of opportunities to advance that mission. As we look forward to what 2026 will bring, we take a moment to highlight just a few of our past year’s successes.

SB 253: Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act

As organizations begin adjusting to the requirements of California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253), Cameron-Cole developed blogs and a live webinar to help companies understand their reporting requirements. Below are examples of this expertise in action.

California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) Explained: In October 2023, California signed SB 253, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act, into law. Our blog discussed what this may mean for organizations and their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting programs.

SB 253 & SB 261: Key Updates from CARB’s November Workshop: As court rulings create uncertainty regarding climate disclosure laws, Cameron-Cole provides further information — including an alternate date for reporting, as appropriate — as information evolves.

Understanding the Importance of GHG Pre-Verification Audits: Beginning in 2026, SB 253 will require all large private and public companies based in California to publicly disclose their Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from energy usage. This blog assists organizations in better understanding the auditing process.

Live Q&A: Preparing for SB 253 Assurance Requirements: Cameron-Cole's verification experts joined participants in a live webinar, breaking down SB 253, sharing recent updates, and providing actionable guidance on how organizations can prepare for the upcoming assurance requirements, plus opportunities to navigate the new assurance landscape confidently.

Cameron-Cole Opens Highlands Ranch Office

Cameron-Cole announced the relocation of its Colorado office from Boulder to Highlands Ranch. This strategic move supports the company’s continued growth and commitment to serving clients throughout the region. This new location offers improved proximity to key clients and partners in the Denver metro area, supporting our mission to create positive impact and value by providing solutions for complex environmental issues.

Using Property Risk Mapping Software in the Site Selection Process for Brownfield Grant Development Webinar

Cameron-Cole partnered with ADEC Innovations companies FCS and Envirosite to host a live webinar guiding stakeholders through key components of successful brownfield site selection and grant development strategies. Experts from all three companies covered topics such as identifying available grant programs, leveraging reliable, data-driven tools to evaluate potential sites and build site inventories, and effectively managing grant funding after awards are secured.
